Jaime Rush News - December 6, 2011
A note from Jaime Rush. Hello Readers! I hope you're doing great! It's hard to believe that the holidays are upon us. I probably say this every year, but it always astounds me: Where has the year gone??? I am positively sure someone stole a month or two.
Last week, BEYOND THE DARKNESS was out! Petra and Cheveyo finally get their story! They've waited a long time, haven't they? And so have my wonderful readers. I'll give you a tidbit. In my original proposal for the first three books, I had Petra getting her story in the third book, and guess who was possibly going to be the hero? Ozzie, Amy's geeky neighbor in the first book, A PERFECT DARKNESS. I thought it would be fun to hero-ize him, but he never popped for me, and then Cheveyo did pop in at the beginning of OUT OF THE DARKNESS to save Zoe, and I said … huh? Who are you? Ooh, me like …
It's been fun to watch the series evolve and go off into different directions. BEYOND THE DARKNESS definitely takes us into new territory, both plot-wise and geographically. Of course, Cheveyo himself is a whole new type of paranormal for the series, and the villains take a new twist, too. We're off to Arizona, and a little fun in Vegas, too.
More happy news: BURNING DARKNESS is up for Best PNR with Psychic Talent. Check out my website for the latest updates! And Happy Holidays!
