When I first began to write the story of Rain and
Ellysetta, I wanted to combine my two favorite genres: fantasy and
romance. I didn't realize when I started what a considerable
undertaking my idea would become, but once I dove into the world, and
into the characters, they really took over. My initial vision of
one book expanded to the concept of a trilogy, but since I tend to
write books of a length editors refer to as "bug crunchers," that
trilogy has since morphed into a five-book series.
