Ms. Cooper-Posey has written a book with characters that quickly grab the reader's interest and keep it glued to the pages. The well-paced plot makes the reading easy and enjoyable, and the historical details are woven effectively throughout the story. Bian is the kind of heroine that makes us want to join her in the novel. Strong, independent, and far ahead of her time, she is worthy of a hero like Stuart. Together they are creatures of passion and suspense as the they draw us through a tangled web to an exciting and intense climax.
