 Christopher James Hollenbach (CJ), started modeling after college. Graduating with degree in Graphic Design, he took his design portfolio to ad agencies where he was constantly being told, "we aren't looking for models today.."
Surprisingly, his last interviewer told him "if you’re not a model you should be! Come back with pictures..." The rest is cover model history.
CJ has done Midwestern print work including; Tool catalogues, Father's Day Sale ads, Trucker's wear catalogues, and has been featured in Playgirl magazine twice. His television appearances include: Entertainment Tonight, The Joan Rivers Show, Gordon Elliott, CNN, M-TV, and he was a contestant on "American Gladiators."
His start as a Romance cover model began when a family friend suggested he enter the very first "Mr. Romance" contest in San Diego and ended up a finalist. He shot his first romance novel cover, "THE STONE MAIDEN" in 1999, for author Susan King. He can be seen on "With All My Heart" by Caridad Scordado and on the e-books God of Fire, The Jock, and After The Storm.
CJ writes for romance periodicals "I’ll Take Romance" and "Romantic Times," and is currently writing a screenplay.

What do you hope for in the future?
I hope to keep doing the romance covers for a while longer. They still keep calling. More now than ever. I will continue to write, which is really my true passion. I have been writing for newspapers and magazines for many years. I have more than a few books in me. (Maybe I should see a doctor about that!)
How do you feel about the fashion world?
With my "look" I don't do too much mainstream fashion modeling anymore and that's fine. They want all the guys to look exactly the same and I've never been a "blender". I wear clothes that look good on me and make me feel good. I don't follow all the trends. Not crazy about "baggie" jeans. You can't see my butt!
Favorite sport?
I do like watching golf on TV and I don't even play. Explain that to me!
Favorite body part?
It used to be my chest. That gets a lot of attention, that and my butt. Women love a good butt. I would say my hands are my favorite part. My toes too, really. I have toes like Fred Flintstone.They make me laugh. I think they fit me so well.
Where would I like to travel?
I would like to go to Hawaii. It looks so beautiful and everyone speaks English, which makes life so much easier. I'd like to go while I still look relatively decent in a bathing suit. I've always had a fascination with Greece too. I took a lot of Greek art history in college.
What characteristics do you admire most in people?
I would say loyalty to your friends is the most admirable quality. If you have friends you can count on, you are very, very blessed.
Are you a romantic?
That's like asking a guy "Are you good in bed?" After 14 years in the romance industry, I'd like to think so. I am told I am even when I'm not trying to be.Thoughtfulness goes a long way too.
Favorite things?
Good hair days, hearing from friends I haven't heard from in a long time, the smell of suntan lotion.
